.DISCUSSION...

Light snow will be possible off and on throughout the day today,
with little to no accumulation expected at the burn site. Snowfall
rates increase dramatically through the overnight hours, with
heaviest rates coming in Wednesday afternoon. Storm totals of 5
to 7 inches will be possible by Thursday morning. Winter Weather
Advisories are in place just to the east of the burn site, but
hazardous travel will be possible in your location as well.

Winds are currently gusting to 40 mph through the middle and upper
Arkansas River Valley, and gusts are expected to persist through
much of the day, especially along ridgetops that are exposed to a
northwest wind. Winds begin to die down through the evening hours,
especially after sunset this evening. Daytime temperatures in the
teens and low 20s can be expected, with morning wind chills in
the single digits below zero. More chances for snow are coming in
through the extended forecast, especially for this weekend.
