This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected this
afternoon over and near the higher terrain, with the best coverage
expected across the eastern San Juan mountains into the southern
Sangre de Cristo mountains. Lightning and gusty winds up to 50 mph
will be the main threats from storms today, with small hail and
locally heavy rainfall possibly with the strongest storms.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

Enough moisture will remain in place for isolated to scattered
afternoon and evening thunderstorms Monday and Tuesday, mainly
over the mountains. Lightning and gusty winds will be the main
threats with any storms this period, while the threat of flash
flooding will be reduced as moisture levels decrease. A slight
increase in thunderstorm chances is possible for Wednesday into
Wednesday night, as a cold front moves through the region, before
storm activity decreases Thursday and Friday as drier air moves
back into southern Colorado.
