This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Snow will continue along the Continental Divide this morning before
diminishing this afternoon. Up to 2 inches of additional
accumulation will be possible across the higher elevations of the
eastern Sawatch and western Mosquito ranges and the eastern San Juan
mountains. Strong west winds will continue across the mountains
today, spreading into the southeast plains by late morning.
Localized gusts up to 50 mph will be possible across the higher
peaks and along the lower eastern slopes of the southeast mountains
this morning, with gusts up to 40 mph spreading eastward down La
Veta Pass and the Arkansas River Valley into Pueblo through mid day.
Winds will be lighter elsewhere with gusts up to 30 mph across the
remainder of the lower elevations. This will result in elevated
fire danger across portions of the southeast plains today, though
humidity levels stay just above critical thresholds.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday

Heavy snow will be possible over the Continental Divide for
Wednesday night through Friday. Travel may be difficult through
mountain passes through this time period. Snow chances move into the
eastern mountains by Thursday afternoon, and into the Raton Mesa and
the Palmer Divide by Friday morning, though accumulations are
expected to be light for the lower elevations at this time.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Weather spotters will not be needed today or tonight.
