PMZ001-191500- Synopsis for the E Pacific within 250 nm of Mexico 1050 PM PDT Wed Jun19 2025 .SYNOPSIS...Extremely dangerous Category Four Hurricane Erick is near 15.5N 97.5W at 11 PM PDT. It is moving northwest at 8 kt. Maximum sustained winds have increased to 125 kt with gusts to 150 kt, and the minimum central pressure has lowered to 939 mb. Erick will begin to weaken as it moves inland Mexico near 16.2N 98.0W Thu morning, and is expected to dissipate Fri morning. Elsewhere, high pressure well northwest of the area will support pulsing moderate to fresh northwest to north winds across the Baja California Norte offshore waters through the forecast period. Along with these winds rough northwest to north swell will build over the Baja waters through Thu night.
