  Central Anson County in central North Carolina...
  Montgomery County in central North Carolina...
  Northwestern Richmond County in central North Carolina...
  Eastern Stanly County in central North Carolina...

* Until 745 PM EDT.

* At 558 PM EDT, emergency management reported several flooded roads
  east of highway 52 in Stanly County.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Emergency management reported.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Albemarle, Troy, Badin Lake, Biscoe, Ansonville, Polkton, Norwood,
  Badin, Mount Gilead, Star, Candor, Peachland, Uwharrie Haven, Lake
  Tillery, Pekin, Morrow Mountain State Park, Covington and Blewett
  Falls Lake.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
