This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central North Carolina.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

There is a Marginal (level 1 of 4) risk of excessive rainfall this
afternoon and evening over northwest portions of the Piedmont of
North Carolina. There is also a Marginal (level 1 of 5) risk of
strong to severe storms this afternoon and evening. The primary
threat will be damaging wind gusts, mainly between 3 PM and 9 PM.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

There is a Marginal (level 1 of 4) risk of excessive rainfall Friday
into Friday night, and a Slight risk (level 2 of 4) risk of excessive
rainfall Saturday into Saturday night. Showers and storms
may produce heavy rainfall leading to isolated flooding.

Weather spotters are encouraged to report significant weather
conditions according to Standard Operating Procedures.

Hot and humid conditions are expected Friday through Sunday. High
heat index values as high as 105 to 109 degrees are possible each day
through the weekend. Heat advisories may be needed for some locations.

In addition, there is a Marginal (level 1 of 4) to Slight (level 2 of
4) risk of excessive rainfall Friday and Saturday. Showers and storms
may produce heavy rainfall leading to isolated flooding.
