This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central North Carolina.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight.

Heat indices will reach 95 to 100 degrees today, resulting in
dangerous conditions for those sensitive to the heat.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Similar heat index values are expected on Thursday, especially from
the Triangle south and east.

In addition, there is a Level 2 (Slight Risk) for severe storms
Thursday afternoon and evening. Damaging winds and large hail are
the main threats.

Temperatures will soar to potentially dangerously high levels this
weekend into next week. Some of the hottest temperatures and heat
indices of the year (so far) are expected with afternoon highs in the
upper 90s, while heat index values may approach 105 degrees.
