Survey Summary:
A brief but strong EF-0 tornado occurred during the early morning hours of Sunday
May 4, 2025 as a line of storms moved through central NC. A car port was picked up
and displaced approximately 100 yards downstream, while a portion of a roof was
torn off an outbuilding and displaced 100 yards to the northwest. Several weakened
trees on the property were snapped and one was uprooted. The tornado was on the
ground for less than a minute before lifting.

The survey was conducted with the assistance of the Johnston County Emergency
Management Division. NWS Raleigh would like to extend a note of appreciation for
their assistance leading up to, and during, the survey.

EF0.....65 to 85 mph
EF1.....86 to 110 mph
EF2.....111 to 135 mph
EF3.....136 to 165 mph
