...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHERN WAKE AND NORTHERN
JOHNSTON COUNTIES THROUGH 930 AM EDT...

At 826 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9
miles southeast of Pittsboro, moving east at 65 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Raleigh, Cary, Garner, Fuquay-Varina, Clayton, Apex, Holly Springs,
Micro, Wendell, and Kenly.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until noon EDT for
central North Carolina.
