The National Weather Service in Raleigh has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Central Wake County in central North Carolina...
  Northwestern Johnston County in central North Carolina...

* Until 630 PM EDT.

* At 545 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles south of
  Wake Forest, or 7 miles northeast of Raleigh, moving south at 25
  mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Raleigh, Wake Forest, Garner, Clayton, Knightdale, Wendell,
  Rolesville, Flowers, Lake Benson, and Falls Lake.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 298 and 312.
 Interstate 440 between Mile Markers 8 and 16.
 Interstate 540 between Mile Markers 10 and 24.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature`s leading
