...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM PDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Portions of east central California, including the
  following area, Mono County and western Nevada, including the
  following area, Mineral and Southern Lyon Counties.

* WHEN...Until 9 PM PDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of creeks,
  streams, urban areas, burn scars, and areas near steep terrain.
  Low-water crossings may be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Scattered thunderstorms and increased monsoonal moisture with
    potential storm training may produce moderate-to-heavy
    rainfall, resulting in instances of flash flooding this
    afternoon.
