...Gusty winds and dry conditions will maintain elevated fire weather
concerns in Mineral and Mono counties through the afternoon...
.DISCUSSION...
Gusty winds become more widespread today, with localized areas of
elevated fire weather conditions in Mono and Mineral counties this
afternoon. A cold front will bring cooler temperatures and chances
for rain and mountain snow later this evening into early Saturday
morning, with the best chances in the eastern Sierra from Plumas
County north. A wetter storm is possible early next week, but there
is still considerable uncertainty in precipitation timing and amounts.
Note: Thunderstorms imply gusty and erratic winds.
