.DISCUSSION...

Hot, record to near-record temperatures are possible today through
Tuesday with triple digit heat expected across western Nevada and mid
80s to low 90s for Sierra communities. Dry conditions persist with
poor overnight RH recoveries for portions of the region. Chances for
thunderstorms will hover around 5-15% each afternoon for the region
today through much of the week, particularly areas south of Highway
50.
