.DISCUSSION...
Warm and dry with poor overnight recoveries on the mid-slopes
and ridges through the weekend. Plan on typical west winds in the
afternoon with gusts up to 25 mph today in northeast CA, northern Washoe,
the Sierra Front, and Mono County. Winds increase on Saturday afternoon,
with gusts of 35-40 mph for northwest NV and northeast CA. Other areas in
western Nevada and Mono County on Saturday may see wind gusts of 25-30 mph,
with localized elevated fire weather conditions. Showers and isolated
thunderstorms return today through the weekend across the eastern Sierra
and western NV, mostly along and south of US-50.
