Hot and dry conditions continue today before thunderstorm chances
increase as monsoon moisture filters into the region this
weekend. Showers and thunderstorms will be possible across the
eastern district on Saturday before becoming more widespread
Sunday into Monday. Storms will trend wetter through the weekend
and into early next week with increased risk for heavy rain and
potential flash flooding.

Hot temperatures and afternoon thunderstorm chances will be
possible for the eastern Sierra, mainly south of US-50 today. A
few storms could produce isolated dry strikes today. Monsoon
moisture will continue to increase through the weekend with
increasing thunderstorm coverage expected into early next week.
These storms will trend wetter through the coming days with an
increased risk for heavy rain and potential flash flooding.
