Shower and thunderstorm will decrease today through Friday in the
Sierra and adjacent foothills. These storms still have the
capability of dry lightning outside the rain cores along with gusty
winds and locally heavy rain. Diurnal, terrain driven winds
forecasted with breezy afternoon winds outside of any gusty winds
from thunderstorms. Drier, cooler, and breezier southwest flow
develops over the weekend, with some fire concerns over elevated
terrain due to winds. Showers and storms may return mid next week
but expected to be wet at this stage.
