...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT PLUMAS AND CENTRAL LASSEN
COUNTIES THROUGH 700 AM PDT...

At 628 AM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Antelope Lake to 8 miles north of Genesee.
Movement was north at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Susanville, Janesville, Aspen Grove Campground, Westwood, Genesee,
Antelope Lake, Susanville Municipal Airport, Ca 36 At Plumas-Lassen
Co Line, Merrill Campground, Boulder Creek Campground, Junction CA 36
And CA 44, Eagle Campground, Fredonyer Pass, Lone Rock Campground,
and Long Point Campground.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
