...Yellowstone NP and Teton dispatch areas (includes fire weather
zones 140...414...415...and 416)...
Moisture streams into the region through Tuesday evening as a
weather system approaches from the northwest. The resulting
scattered showers and thunderstorms prevail through the evening,
lingering into early Wednesday over Zone 140. Any isolated showers
Wednesday would be along the Continental Divide as drier air spreads
into the dispatch area from the west. Cooler, but seasonal, daytime
highs are in store Wednesday along with west wind 10 to 20 mph.

A weather system approaches Wyoming from the north and crosses the
dispatch area tonight and Wednesday morning. Scattered showers and
thunderstorms become more widespread and intense late Tuesday
afternoon through the evening hours ahead of this system. Gusty
wind, hail, and brief heavy rain are all possible. Scattered showers
and a few storms linger overnight, especially across the north. By
Wednesday afternoon, scattered showers and storms develop over the
mountains, move east, and slowly end late in the day. Daytime highs
Wednesday will be 15 to 20 degrees below seasonal normals.

A Red Flag Warning continues for Zones 277 and 279 until 8 PM Tuesday.
Isolated showers and thunderstorms west of the Continental Divide
became a bit more numerous early Tuesday evening. Gusty outflow wind
gusts of 40 to 60 mph are possible. A cold front pushes into
southwest Wyoming late Tuesday evening providing improved humidity
recovery and a northeast wind. East of the Continental Divide,
widespread showers and thunderstorms erupt Tuesday afternoon and
persist overnight. Some storms Tuesday afternoon and evening could be
severe. For Wednesday, the best chance for scattered showers and
storms will be along and east of a line from Buffalo to Rock Springs.
