.DISCUSSION...
Today will be another dry and warm day. The day will start of mostly
sunny but clouds will increase after 1400 as mid level moisture
increases ahead of a weather system moving in from the southwest.
Wind will become west with gusts around 15 mph after 1200 with a 30
percent chance wind gusts over 20 mph. Deeper moisture will move
northward into the area after sunset with a chance of showers between
2100 and 0600, with the best chance between 2300 and 0400. Wind will
decrease initially this evening but increase again after midnight with
gusts to 25 mph possible after 0300. Smoke dispersal will become
good to very good after morning inversions break between 1000 and 1200.
Cooler weather moves in for Labor Day. However, gusty to strong wind is
likely. The strongest wind will be after 1300 when there is around a
50 percent chance of wind gusts over 40 mph. Dry weather is then expected
for much of next week with breezy conditions at times.
