.DISCUSSION...
Light winds start Monday, generally prevailing from the southwest
around 7 mph. Winds increase around noon, with sustained prevailing
winds from the west around 10 mph. Gusts 15 to 20 mph occur through
the afternoon, ending around 1900. An isolated shower or
thunderstorm is possible between 1300 and 1800, with about a 15 or
20 percent chance in that timeframe. Gusty outflow winds up to 45
mph and lightning are the main hazards.
Monday night lighter winds 5 to 8 mph from the west. Weather models
have been off when it comes to humidity recovery overnight, so have
increased it for this forecast, comparing it to the nearby RAWS
station. Increasing moisture brings rain chances starting as early
as midnight, which increase and continue through Tuesday. The chance
of a wetting rain is low (10 percent or less) unless a storm core
passes over the area.
