.DISCUSSION...
Near-critical fire weather conditions expected today, due to very
dry air and very gusty winds. Humidity level only recovered to
around 35 percent overnight, and will hover around 20 percent
most of the day Saturday. Winds will increase from the southwest
around 1100, with frequent gusts above 30 mph expected through
2000. Mixing heights will be elevated, helping to create excellent
smoke dispersal.
Sunday will see the arrival of the next weather system into
western WY. The system will bring increased moisture, with
humidity levels likely staying above 35 percent through the day.
Showers and a few thunderstorms are expected during the
afternoon. Accumulations will likely be light, so any lightning
will be dry in nature. Winds will again be very gusty, with
frequent gusts above 30 mph in the afternoon.
