.DISCUSSION...
Deeper moisture will spread over the area starting today, with cooler
temperatures and higher humidity than the past couple of days. The
increased moisture will increase the chance of showers and thunderstorms,
with the greatest chance of a shower or thunderstorm (40 to 60 percent)
between 1700 and 2200 tonight. Any storm could have heavy rain, wind
gusts over 40 mph or hail. Wind should be largely light until morning
inversions break with gusts to 15 to 20 mph possible after 1200 today.
Mixing and smoke dispersal will becomes good after 1200. Exact timing
of any shower or thunderstorm is still somewhat uncertain. The chance
of showers and thunderstorms continues into Sunday and early next week,
along with somewhat cooler temperatures. This afternoon and evening
still looks like the most likely time of the next several days for
wetting rain though.
