941 NOUS45 KRIW 040257 PNSRIW WYZ001>020-022>030-041444- Public Information Statement National Weather Service Riverton WY 744 PM MST Mon Feb 3 2025 An Atmospheric River event brought significant snow to western Wyoming beginning Friday evening (1/31). Snow continued through Sunday night (2/2) and ended Monday morning (2/3). Over the 3 day period, snowfall accumulations of 2 to 4 feet were observed across portions of southwest Yellowstone, the Tetons, and Absaroka Mountains. Moisture also poured over to the east slopes of the Absaroka Mountains, resulting in snowfall amounts of 6 to 12 or more inches across portions of the Cody Foothills Sunday night into Monday morning.
