...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTH CENTRAL NATRONA COUNTY
THROUGH 745 PM MDT...
At 710 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles north of Independence Rock, which is 38 miles east of Jeffrey
City, moving east at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of south central
Natrona County.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
