.DISCUSSION...
The daily chance for mainly afternoon and evening showers and
thunderstorms will persist amid hot and muggy conditions this week.
Locally heavy downpours could lead to some instances of flooding,
particularly where the ground becomes saturated by successive days
of rain.
There is also a small risk of an isolated storm or two producing
strong gusty winds on Thursday.
Lowland areas will consistently see highs in the upper 80s to mid
90s this week, with heat indices in the mid to upper 90s given the
muggy conditions.
