.DISCUSSION...
Showers will taper off today as a cold front moves through. A
trailing secondary cold front will bring a chance of showers later
Friday into Saturday, primarily across the northern lowlands and
higher terrain. Much cooler air can be expected behind the secondary
cold front over the weekend and into the next work week.
Expect drier air to move in the next several days, mostly later in the
weekend and next week. Expect poor smoke dispersion and vent rates during
the overnight and morning hours with inversions, increasing to fair or good
in the afternoon. Bulk transport winds will be southwesterly in direction
today at a light speed and going calm overnight. Winds shift more
northwesterly Friday afternoon with the secondary front. Winds may be
breezy at times with gusts up to 15-20 mph possible.
