MASON...NORTHWESTERN RITCHIE...WIRT...NORTHWESTERN ROANE...NORTHERN
JACKSON AND WOOD COUNTIES THROUGH 245 AM EDT...

At 138 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Belmont to near Ravenswood to near
Rutland. Movement was southeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Parkersburg, Marietta, Belpre, Ripley, Harrisville, Pomeroy,
Elizabeth, Racine, Rutland, Forked Run State Park, Vienna,
Ravenswood, New Haven, Pennsboro, Mason, Belmont, Sandyville,
Mineralwells, Washington, and North Bend State Park.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 77 in West Virginia between mile markers 139 and 185.
 Route 50 in West Virginia between mile markers 1 and 45.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to travel across
flooded roads. Find alternate routes. It takes only a few inches of
swiftly flowing water to carry vehicles away.
