...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN RALEIGH COUNTY
THROUGH 1015 PM EDT...

At 956 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Shady Spring, or 8 miles west of Hinton, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Shady Spring, Daniels, and Ghent.

This includes the following highways...
 West Virginia Turnpike between mile markers 29 and 34.
 Interstate 64 in West Virginia between mile markers 129 and 137.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
