SOUTHEASTERN LEWIS...NORTHEASTERN BRAXTON...UPSHUR...NORTH CENTRAL
WEBSTER AND SOUTHWESTERN BARBOUR COUNTIES THROUGH 1015 PM EDT...

At 947 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Rock Cave, or 12 miles south of Weston, moving northeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Buckhannon, Rock Cave, Womelsdorf (Coalton), Alexander, Volga,
Lorentz, Eden, Century, Sand Run, Cleveland, Alton, Walkersville,
Ellamore, Kanawha Head, Ireland, Tallmansville, Overhill,
Hodgesville, Horner, and French Creek.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 79 between mile markers 85 and 92, and near mile marker
98.
 Route 33 between mile markers 1 and 17.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
