...FLOOD WATCH IS CANCELLED...

The Flood Watch currently in effect is cancelled for a portion of
central Virginia, including the following areas, Appomattox and
Buckingham.

Flooding is no longer expected to pose a threat. Please continue to
heed remaining road closures.

A new flood watch will replace the old flood watch beginning this
afternoon.

...NEW FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH
THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...A portion of central Virginia, including the following
  counties, Appomattox and Buckingham.

* WHEN...From 1 PM EDT this afternoon through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Low-water
  crossings may be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Showers and thunderstorms develop early this afternoon and
    into tonight. A nearby frontal boundary will provide focus
    for Repeated storms to develop. This along with increasing
    moisture will set the stage for heavy rain and possibly
    flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
