.DISCUSSION...

A cold front will continue to make progress southward tonight into
Thursday. While the vast majority of the rainfall will be closer to
the NC/VA border, some isolated showers cannot be ruled out into
and through the overnight hours. Thursday into Friday are likely
to be rain-free with the front farther to the south, and cooler
high pressure building into the area. Scattered showers, and perhaps
a few storms, return to the forecast this weekend.
