This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for north central North Carolina,
northwest North Carolina, central Virginia, south central Virginia,
southwest Virginia, west central Virginia and southeast West
Virginia.

   Flood Watch.

A Marginal Risk (level 1 of 5) of severe weather is forecast for
today for the potential for strong to severe winds that may cause
downed trees and power poles that can lead to isolated power
outages.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Scattered to numerous storms are expected during the afternoon
Wednesday through Thursday. A few storms could produce strong winds,
along with isolated flooding due to heavy downpours.

Spotter activation may be needed.

Slow moving showers and storms may result in locally heavy rain with
the threat of minor flooding. Additionally, thunderstorms with
strong winds may cause trees to be blown down thanks to wet soil
conditions for parts of the area.

Wednesday through Thursday. A few storms could produce strong winds,
