Hydrometeorological Discussion
National Weather Service / California Nevada RFC / Sacramento CA
600 AM PDT Fri Jun 21 2024

...WARMER WITH ABOVE NORMAL TEMPS...
...POSSIBILITY OF SOME AFTERNOON/EARLY EVE CONVECTION STARTING SUN...

.METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS (FRI AM - THU AM)...

Troffing along the west coast will slowly erode as high pressure
currently over the lower Mississippi River valley will shift
westward toward the 4-Corners states allowing for height rises
across the region into the weekend. This will bring temperatures to
increase above normal across much of the region...peaking on
Saturday or Sunday before some slight cooling occurs. However...with
enough influence from the high pressure...temperatures will continue
above normal. Also...given the south to southeast flow across the
southern CA...enough moisture may advect over the area to generate
some afternoon showers and thunderstorms beginning Sunday into the
middle portion of next week.
