...MAINLY DRY CONDITIONS EXPECTED THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS...

.METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS (SUN AM - SAT AM)...

Ridging building over the western U.S. is expected to provide
generally dry conditions over the next several days. ECMWF and CMC
guidance (deterministic and ensemble), NAM, and SREF show the
potential for a few stray showers over the higher terrain of the
Sierra this afternoon as a shortwave works its way south across the
Sierra. Blended wetter WPC and drier NBM guidance for this
afternoon as a compromise solution. Around Wed into Wed night,
guidance shows a weakening cold front moving into the Pac NW and far
northern CA. Models show the potential for light precip as far south
as the Smith and upper Klamath basins, but for the most part
conditions look fairly dry. Followed WPC guidance, which keeps
precip just north of the CNRFC forecast area. Dry conditions are
expected Thu-Fri with an upper low forecast off the southern CA
coast and zonal flow across northern CA/NV.
