Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...Weak low pressure tracks into the Great Lakes on
Tuesday with occasional rain and lighter winds. A stronger low
pressure system arriving from the Midwest then rapidly deepens
over the northern Great Lakes Wednesday into Wednesday night,
leading to a long duration of gales through early Friday. Much
cooler air arrives with snow squalls becoming likely Thursday
into Friday.

...GALE WATCH IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY MORNING THROUGH LATE
THURSDAY NIGHT...

.TONIGHT...South winds 10 to 15 knots diminishing to 5 to 10 knots
early in the morning. Cloudy. A chance of light rain after midnight.
Waves 2 feet or less.
.TUESDAY...Southeast winds 5 to 10 knots. Light rain until late
afternoon...then light rain likely late in the afternoon. Waves 2
feet or less.
.TUESDAY NIGHT...Southwest winds 5 to 10 knots increasing to 15 to
20 knots after midnight. Cloudy with light rain likely. Waves 2 feet
or less.
.WEDNESDAY...Southwest winds 20 to 25 knots increasing to 35 knot
gales with gusts to 40 knot gales. Mostly cloudy. Light rain likely
early in the morning...then a chance of light rain in the late
morning and afternoon. A chance of light snow early in the
afternoon. Waves 3 to 5 feet. Waves occasionally around 7 feet.  A
Gale Warning may be needed.
.WEDNESDAY NIGHT...West at 35 knot gales with gusts to 40 knot
gales. Mostly cloudy. Light snow likely until early morning. A
chance of light snow after midnight. Waves 4 to 6 feet. Waves
occasionally around 7 feet.
.THURSDAY...West at 35 knot gales diminishing to 30 knots in the
afternoon...then increasing to 35 knot gales in the evening. Mostly
cloudy with a chance of light snow. Waves 4 to 6 feet. Waves
occasionally around 8 feet.
.FRIDAY...West at 35 knot gales. Partly cloudy. Waves 3 to 5 feet.
Waves occasionally around 7 feet.
.SATURDAY...South winds 10 to 15 knots. Partly cloudy. A chance of
light snow. Waves 2 feet or less.
