Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Western Washington
National Weather Service Seattle WA
223 PM PDT Tue Oct 14 2025

.DISCUSSION...
.SYNOPSIS...Weak high pressure building into the region, combined
with offshore flow, will bring cool and dry conditions to western
Washington today and Wednesday. No elevated or critical fire weather
conditions are expected but overnight RH recoveries in the mountains will
be poor. The ridge moves east Thursday allowing a weak system to
move over the area bringing chances of light showers. A stronger
system will move in over the weekend bring moderate to heavy rain,
locally gusty winds, and mountain snow.

Forecast for 20 foot wind speed (valleys and ridge tops) are 10
 minute averages reflecting RAWS winds.
