Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Western Washington
National Weather Service Seattle WA
252 PM PDT Mon Oct 6 2025

.DISCUSSION...Dry offshore flow continues to keep low relative
humidity values across the west slopes of the Olympics and foothills
of the Cascades. With dry offshore flow continuing into tomorrow, and
poor RH recoveries expected overnight, elevated fire weather
conditions will be in place for the aforementioned areas into
Tuesday. The driest areas in the Cascades will be in southern zone
658, and portions of the Olympics near Hurricane Ridge and Forks.
Overnight into Tuesday morning, winds will shift to
westerly/onshore, and relative humidities will increase, from the
west coast across to the Cascade crest

Forecast for 20 foot wind speed (valleys and ridge tops) are 10
 minute averages reflecting RAWS winds.
