Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Western Washington
National Weather Service Seattle WA
849 AM PDT Wed Sep 3 2025

...HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM PDT THURSDAY...
...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO 9 PM PDT THIS
EVENING...

.DISCUSSION...Dry and unstable conditions will continue across the
mountains through Thursday with high pressure overhead. Onshore flow
looks to bring better RH recoveries Friday and into the early next
week. Over the weekend, monsoonal moisture may move into the region
to boost the chances for isolated thunderstorms, especially near the
Cascades, but confidence in the specific timing and coverage remains
low.

Forecast for 20 foot wind speed (valleys and ridge tops) are 10
 minute averages reflecting RAWS winds.
