074 SXUS46 KSEW 152205 RECSEW Mount Rainier Recreational Forecast National Weather Service Seattle WA 305 PM PDT Wed Oct 15 2025 .SYNOPSIS...Clouds will increase and a little precipitation will reach the National Park Thursday night into Friday as a weak frontal system moves through the area. A stronger system will move into the region over the weekend bringing gusty winds, lowland rain, and mountain snow. Unsettled conditions will continue into early next week. && .IMPACTS...Strong winds in alpine regions on the mountain, including the Muir snowfield, will make it difficult to move safely and could produce local whiteout conditions. A high level of skill and experience in alpine terrain, including use of GPS, is recommended for navigation and camping in these conditions. && .WEDNESDAY NIGHT...Mostly clear. Freezing level near 12000 feet. .THURSDAY...Sunny in the morning then becoming partly sunny.
