Mount Rainier Recreational Forecast

.SYNOPSIS...A weather system will linger along the west coast
through Friday, resulting in periodic showers and breezy winds.
Another weather system will move southwards across Western
Washington this weekend into early next week. This will result in
higher elevation mountain snowfall and breezy winds.

.IMPACTS...Strong winds in alpine regions on the mountain,
including the Muir snowfield, will make it difficult to move
safely and could produce local whiteout conditions into the
weekend. A high level of skill and experience in alpine terrain,
including use of GPS, is recommended for navigation and camping in
these conditions.

.WEDNESDAY NIGHT...Partly cloudy in the evening then becoming
mostly cloudy. A slight chance of showers late in the evening. A
chance of showers after midnight, then showers likely late in the
night. No snow accumulation near Paradise. Snow level near
7500 feet.
.THURSDAY...Mostly cloudy with showers likely in the morning,
then mostly cloudy with a chance of showers in the afternoon. No
snow accumulation near Paradise. Snow level near 7500 feet.

evening, then mostly cloudy with showers likely after midnight.
