Mount Rainier Recreational Forecast

.SYNOPSIS...
Conditions will dry out across Mount Rainier National Park today
as an overall cooler and drier trend commences across the region.
A few weak disturbances moving across the area may bring some
rain and snow to the park on Saturday and again Monday into
Tuesday.

.IMPACTS...Strong winds near the summit on Sunday will make it
difficult to move safely and could produce local whiteout
conditions. A high level of skill and experience in alpine
terrain, including use of GPS, is recommended for navigation and
camping in these conditions.

.FRIDAY...Mostly cloudy in the morning then becoming sunny. A
slight chance of rain and snow in the morning. Snow level near
5000 feet. Freezing level near 7000 feet in the afternoon.
.FRIDAY NIGHT...Partly cloudy in the evening then becoming mostly
cloudy. Freezing level near 6000 feet.
.SATURDAY...Mostly cloudy. A slight chance of rain and snow in
the afternoon. Snow level near 3000 feet.
.SATURDAY NIGHT...Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain and snow in
the evening, then partly cloudy after midnight. Snow level near
2500 feet. Freezing level near 3000 feet after midnight.
.SUNDAY...Mostly sunny. Freezing level near 2500 feet increasing
to 5000 feet in the afternoon.
