Mount Rainier Recreational Forecast

.SYNOPSIS...Shower chances will increase across Mount Rainier
National Park tonight into Wednesday as a weak system moves
across the area. Strong winds are expected to develop near the
summit of the mountain tonight and Wednesday. A cooler system
moving into the region Friday into the weekend will bring
additional shower chances to the park and will bring snow levels
down to 5000-6000 ft. Showers look to linger across the park into
early next week.

.IMPACTS...Strong winds near the summit tonight and Wednesday will
make it difficult to move safely and could produce local whiteout
conditions. A high level of skill and experience in alpine
terrain, including use of GPS, is recommended for navigation and
camping in these conditions.

.TUESDAY...Sunny. Freezing level near 11500 feet.
.TUESDAY NIGHT...Partly cloudy. A slight chance of showers after
midnight. Snow level near 8500 feet.
.WEDNESDAY...Mostly cloudy with showers likely in the morning,
then partly sunny with a chance of showers in the afternoon. No
snow accumulation near Paradise. Snow level near 7500 feet.
.WEDNESDAY NIGHT...Partly cloudy with a slight chance of showers
in the evening, then mostly cloudy after midnight. Snow level
near 6500 feet.
.JUNETEENTH...Mostly sunny. Freezing level near 10000 feet.
