The National Weather Service in Springfield has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  South Central Laclede County in southwestern Missouri...
  Northeastern Webster County in southwestern Missouri...
  Northwestern Wright County in southwestern Missouri...

* Until 800 PM CDT.

* At 508 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 5 inches of rain
  have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
  shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Niangua, Duncan, Twin Bridges, Grovespring, Rader, Odin and
  Competition.

This includes the following low water crossings...
  North Cobb Creek at Highway B, Osage Fork at Highway J, Cantrell
  Creek at Scott Creek Road, Parks Creek at Highway J, Cobb Creek at
  Highway B, Elk Creek at Highway Z and Osage Fork at Auburn Road.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
