...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON CDT TODAY...

* WHAT...Minor flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of southeast Kansas, including the following
  counties, Bourbon, Cherokee and Crawford and southwest Missouri,
  including the following counties, Barton, Jasper, McDonald and
  Newton.

* WHEN...Until noon CDT Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 407 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated moderate to
    occasionally heavy rain continuing over the area. Minor
    flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the
    advisory area.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Joplin, Pittsburg, Neosho, Baxter Springs, Columbus, Girard,
    Webb City, Carl Junction, Frontenac, Galena, Oronogo, Seneca,
    Anderson, Carterville, Noel, Duquesne, Arma, Goodman,
    Duenweg, South West City, Diamond, Cherokee, Weir, Leawood,
    Silver Creek, Mulberry, Scammon, Lanagan, Purcell, Mccune,
    Mindenmines, Shoal Creek Drive, Saginaw, Walnut, West
    Mineral, Treece, Hepler, Loma Linda, Airport Drive and
    Lowell.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
