...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1015 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of southeast Kansas, including the following
  counties, Bourbon and Crawford and Missouri, including the
  following counties, Barton, Cedar, Dade, Dallas, Greene, Hickory,
  Polk, St. Clair and Vernon.

* WHEN...Until 1015 PM CDT Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 219 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain
    have fallen.
  - This includes the following low water crossings...
    East Fork Dry Wood Creek at NW 110th Lane, Asher Creek at 560
    Road, Brush Creek at 1200 Road, Sons Creek at County Road
    113, Slagle Creek at 86 Road, Lindley Creek at Mathis Road
    and Bear Creek at 60th Road.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Pittsburg, Bolivar, Nevada, Lamar, El Dorado Springs,
    Buffalo, Girard, Stockton, Greenfield, Frontenac, Arma,
    Humansville, Liberal, Walnut Grove, Pleasant Hope, Sheldon,
    Mulberry, Fair Play, Weaubleau, Morrisville, Mindenmines,
    Everton, Arcadia, Polk, Franklin, Montevallo, Bronaugh,
    Dadeville, Jerico Springs, Lamar Heights, Halfway, Collins,
    Flemington, Moundville, Milo, Deerfield, Aldrich, Irwin and
    Burgess.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
