...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1130 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of central, south central, and southwest
  Missouri, including the following counties, in central Missouri,
  Hickory. In south central Missouri, Howell and Texas. In southwest
  Missouri, Christian, Dallas, Douglas, Greene, Laclede, Ozark,
  Polk, Taney, Webster and Wright.

* WHEN...Until 1130 PM CDT Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 340 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is
    ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.
    Between 2 and 5 inches of rain have fallen and an additional
    1 to 2 inches can be expected.
  - This includes the following low water crossings...
    Beaver Creek at Crewes Ford Road, Little North Fork River at
    County Road 916, Bryant Creek at County Road 223, North Fork
    River at County Road 278, Beaver Creek at County Road 524,
    Lick Creek at County Road 528 and Pond Fork at County Road
    883.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Lebanon, West Plains, Marshfield, Mountain Grove, Buffalo,
    Ava, Strafford, Willow Springs, Cabool, Seymour, Fair Grove,
    Mansfield, Fordland, Conway, Gainesville, Norwood, Hartville,
    Niangua, Diggins, Bakersfield, Morgan, Dawson, Pomona,
    Duncan, Theodosia, South Fork, Phillipsburg, Pontiac,
    Halfway, Huggins, Bennett Springs, Louisburg, Wasola, Twin
    Bridges, Sundown, Odin, Brushyknob, Grovespring, Vanzant and
    Manes.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
