.DISCUSSION...

Southerly winds will continue this afternoon and evening with gusts up to 15 to 25mph at
times. South to southwesterly winds will
occur on Saturday with gusts of 20 to 30mph at times.  Mostly clear skies
and near zero precipitation chances exists through Sunday. A wind shift to the north
is likely by Saturday night and Sunday which will briefly filter in drier air for Sunday, especially
east of Springfield. Winds then turn southerly again on Monday.

Above normal temperatures will continue through the weekend with temperatures
close to record territory today and Saturday. Light rain chances then
return by Monday, with the better chances east of Springfield.
Much higher rain chances could arrive around the middle to end of next week.
