MORNING UPDATE: A chilly day is in store today as a cold front has just finished dropping south through the area. This create northerly winds at 8-12 mph, potentially gusting up to 15-20 mph before 10 AM this morning. Thanks to the cold front moving through, a shallow boundary layer will be present, resulting in a low mixing height between 2-2.5 kft and poor ventilation rates. Winds then become light and variable tonight as they shift to become out of the southwest. These southwesterly winds are forecast to be 8-12 mph, potentially gusting up to 15-20 mph during the day Friday. "Warmer" air will be pushed in by these winds with highs in the 40s, though minimum relative humidity values will should stay above 40-50%. The warmer air may provide a better ventilation rate Friday afternoon as improved mixing comes with the southerly winds. .REST OF TODAY...
