This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

  Marginal thunderstorm wind damage risk.
  Limited lightning risk.
  Elevated excessive heat risk.
  Elevated excessive rainfall risk

DISCUSSION...

 Pop-up thunderstorms expected this afternoon mainly along and
south of I-44. Main threats will be heavy rainfall and frequent
lightning. Tonight, a cold front starts to push south bringing a
Marginal risk of severe weather (1/5) for Thursday.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Marginal risk (1/5) for severe weather on Thursday mainly east
of I-49. Main threats are damaging wind gusts up to 60 mph and
heavy rainfall with those storms.

Temperatures climb back to around 90 by midweek, continuing to
gradually increase into the lower 90s through the weekend. Heat
index values will gradually increase this week, reaching the
100-105 degree this weekend into early next week. Heat products
may be needed.

  Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight.
