Weather hazards expected... Limited lightning risk. Limited excessive rainfall risk Limited Fog risk. DISCUSSION... Scattered showers and an isolated thunderstorm across central and south-central Missouri will diminish this evening. There is then a 20% chance of additional thunderstorms late tonight into Friday morning across portions extreme southeast Kansas and southwest Missouri. Brief heavy rainfall and lightning will be the main risk with any of these storms. Areas of fog will be possible across western Missouri and eastern Kansas early Friday morning. Visibilities may drop to 1 mile or less in spots. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday. Isolated thunderstorms will be possible across area west of Highway 65 Saturday afternoon and evening. Additional storms will develop across the central plains and could track into the area late Saturday night into Sunday morning. Some gusty winds will be possible with this activity mainly along and west of Interstate 49. A chance of thunderstorms exists daily Sunday into the middle of next week generally in the 15 to 40 percent chance range. Lightning and heavy rain will be the main risks with any thunderstorms.
